General Terms & Conditions
ARTICLE 1 – ACCEPTANCE
Any reservation made with Hodge Taxi & Bus Services implies full and unconditional acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
ARTICLE 2 – RESERVATIONS
2.1 – Online Booking
Reservations can be made via our website , by phone at (284) 443 – 7118
, or by email at hodgetaxibvi@gmail.com
. A confirmation email of availability will be sent to finalize the booking.
To complete a reservation, the following information is mandatory:
Client Details: Full name, phone number, email address, and pickup address.
Journey Details: Date, pickup/drop-off points, number of passengers, luggage type/volume, special requirements (e.g., child seats).
Hodge Taxi aims to keep the booking system available 24/7. However, access may occasionally be disrupted due to maintenance or technical issues beyond our control.
Online services are delivered immediately. As such, under consumer protection laws, bookings are not eligible for withdrawal rights once confirmed.
2.2 – Telephone Reservations
Reservations via phone must be made at least 1 hour in advance. For bookings made within this window, a delay of up to 30 minutes may be expected.
ARTICLE 3 – SERVICE CONDITIONS
Service starts at the agreed pickup time/location and ends upon drop-off.
Free waiting time:
Airport pickup: 60 minutes
Other pickups: 15 minutes
Beyond this, €1.50/min will be charged.
No-shows are non-refundable.
Clients must contact us immediately if they cannot find their driver.
Passenger Responsibilities:
Respect the vehicle and equipment.
Smoking and eating are strictly prohibited.
Seat belts must be worn at all times.
Animals must be in appropriate carriers.
Drivers will not engage in unsafe or illegal driving at a customer’s request.
Behavior:
Hodge Taxi reserves the right to refuse service in the case of misconduct, excessive intoxication, or threats to safety. The full fare will still be charged.
Damages:
Customers will be billed €250 for damage such as vomiting or excessive mess.
Included in the service:
Vehicle, driver (English-speaking), fuel, insurance, and tolls.
Not included:
Parking fees, site entry tickets, meals or accommodation for multi-day trips.
ARTICLE 4 – PRICING
All prices include VAT and are quoted in local currency.
Transfer prices apply to direct, pre-agreed routes.
Hourly hire is charged per full hour.
Prices are per vehicle, not per passenger.
Google Maps is used for route/time calculation.
Traffic conditions may affect arrival times; delays are not the responsibility of Hodge Taxi.
Prices include:
Toll fees
Fuel
Wi-Fi and onboard amenities
Passenger insurance
Not included:
Parking costs
Admission to venues
Multi-day travel expenses (driver’s accommodation, meals)
ARTICLE 5 – PAYMENT
Payment can be made:
In cash, by credit card, or PayPal at time of service.
Online using a secure platform (e.g., Stripe).
By bank transfer (for corporate accounts).
Full payment must be received to confirm the reservation.
Additional services (e.g., extended time, extra stops) will be invoiced separately.
ARTICLE 6 – CANCELLATION
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service are fully chargeable.
ARTICLE 7 – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Hodge Taxi is not liable for delays caused by external factors such as:
Traffic jams
Accidents
Weather conditions
Protests or road closures
In case of breakdown or incidents, we will do our best to ensure alternative transportation is provided.
ARTICLE 8 – INSURANCE
All Hodge Taxi vehicles are insured for professional passenger transport. Clients may also obtain personal travel insurance at their own cost.
ARTICLE 9 – PERSONAL DATA
Hodge Taxi respects client privacy and complies with applicable data protection regulations.
Personal data is not shared or sold to third parties. Clients may request access to or deletion of their data by contacting customer support.
ARTICLE 10 – DISPUTES
These terms are governed under the laws of the British Virgin Islands or the country of incorporation.
Disputes must be submitted in writing within 8 days of service.
Any legal issues will be handled by the competent courts in the company’s registered jurisdiction.
ARTICLE 11 – ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By booking with Hodge Taxi & Bus Services, the client confirms full acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Hodge Taxi reserves the right to update these terms at any time.
